Minecraft is a Sandbox indie game developed by a Swedish programmer Markus "Notch" Persson. It was first released on PC as an alpha version, but later came to Android, IOS, and finally Xbox 360. There are still other systems that run minecraft.
This game allows players to create and explore in 3D generated worlds. Players can choose from Survival, Creative, and Adventure mode. In survival, players start from nothing trying to gain materials to live and survive. In creative, players have everything in their item menu. They are free to build whatever they want with unlimited resources, unlimited health (does not count for falling in the void), and a flying ability. Now, adventure mode is quite different. This mode is better for player created maps with unwanted griefing or trolling. It makes it so that players without special permissions cannot destroy certain blocks, often seen in many minecraft bukkit servers.
The possibilites are seen as "endless" in minecraft. Above is an example of a ship creation. Players who don't really like being "creative" can still play minecraft and have fun. They could fight mobs, use explosives, download special mods, and visit minecraft servers that have special game modes such as Skywars, PVP, or The Hunger games.
There is a version of Minecraft called "Minecraft Classic" which is a free version; however, it is no longer updated and is an older version. Many of the items in the updated versions of Minecraft cannot and will not be visible in Minecraft Classic. If you would like to get Minecraft, but first would like to try it; then I would recommend going to www.minecraft.net to make a Minecraft account and play a trial of Minecraft for 100 Minutes. (Or at least I think it's 100 mins)
[Instead of getting Minecraft classic].
