War thunder is a free combat MMO game based on flight simulator. Personally, I find it very fun and is worth to try with decent PC specifications.
The game is similar to World of tanks, with the in game menu, join up, and research. War thunder uses three types of currency: XP, Lions, and Golden Eagles.
XP: Needed to level up (level system will be explained later), and unlock planes using research.
Lions: In game currency most used. Players earn Lions just by shooting planes down, capturing points, victories, and many other stuff. Many planes can be bought with Lions.
Golden Eagles: A currency which is harder to obtain. Players can get this currency by buying it (real money), by completing special missions, or taking part with special events. Completing the basics and tutorials for fighters and bombers will give the player 240 Golden Eagles. This currency can also be used to buy special gift/golden eagle planes that can not be obtainable with Lions.
Now to the level up system: There are two types of levels in War Thunder. Your actual level, and your country's level. There are 6 countries which are US, German, USSR, Russians, Japanese, and Great Britain. The country you pick is independent from what side your on. For example, if you wanted to play War Thunder with your friend, and lets say you both are on different sides. You are on Great Britain, and your friend is on USSR. Even with different sides, both of you can still be on the same team. The country you pick only affects its planes. Each country's planes have their own strengths and weaknesses
War thunder is in a closed beta test and the game is very smooth with a suprising amount of limited glitches. Normally when you try beta tests, you would expect it to have more glitches. However, War Thunder has the least amount of glitches I would have not expected.
